Great Orme Tramway

Schools & Groups

Calling all teachers and group leaders

Bring along a group to learn about the history of the Tramway, how it works and discover all the Great Orme has to offer.

As well as taking a ride on the tramway, there’s so much to do on the Great Orme, from exploring ancient mines to zooming down a ski slope!

We invite you to contact one of our friendly advisors and book your trip with us. You can make as much or as little of your day as you want, depending on your time-scales. You can simply book a trip on the Tramway or combine the trip with any of the following activities:

Copper Mines

A visit to the bronze age copper mines

The children will wear a hard hat and enjoy a guided tour down the fascinating mines. The tour lasts around an hour. The Mines are a 5 minute walk from the Halfway Station and have facilities for lunch indoors and outdoors should you need it.

Visit the copper mine website.

Environmental Group

An environmental activity walk with a country park warden

Your guide will provide a fun, informative and interesting guided walk in spectacular surroundings which will be tailored to the age of the children. You will meet your Country Park Warden at the summit of the Great Orme or at the Copper Mines and the walk will last around an hour and a half. Again, facilities are available for lunch indoors and outdoors.
